1. Large Commercial Fit-Outs
As work progresses on large commercial fit-outs, temporary lighting needs to move just as easily. Rather than continually repositioning multiple floodlights throughout the day, contractors can suspend the Site Light overhead using structural steel, framing or Quipt Lead Stands, creating consistent illumination that stays above the active work zone.
Multiple reels can also be linked together for up to 100 metres of continuous lighting, making it easy to scale the system as projects grow.

10. Ship Building & Marine Construction
One application we didn't initially anticipate becoming so popular for the Site Light is shipbuilding and marine fabrication. Crews often work inside hulls, along narrow passageways, within engine rooms or across large fabrication sheds where reliable, consistent illumination is essential.
The Quipt Site Light's flexible strip format can be suspended from existing structures or temporary supports to deliver continuous lighting along the length of the work area, helping reduce shadows in confined spaces while keeping the floor clear of bulky lighting equipment.
While the Site Light is built for demanding environments with an IP65 ingress protection rating, it is not designed to be submerged or used underwater. As with any electrical equipment, it should be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and kept out of standing water.
Bonus: Lift Shaft & Vertical Access Areas
Lift shafts are one of the most challenging areas to illuminate during construction. Their vertical layout, limited natural light and confined working conditions make consistent temporary lighting essential for safety and efficiency — but hard to execute.
Our Site Light has been suspended vertically within lift shafts to provide illumination over multiple levels. This includes high-rise projects, and even being run down cranes! Multiple reels can be linked together to extend lighting coverage up to 100m as work progresses, creating a simple and scalable solution for vertical construction.
